Flashlight ○

This is SO convenient! I use it all the time. I live in the beautiful high desert in AZ in a rural area. Our county is a “dark sky” county. We have no street lights and it’s mandatory that all outside lighting be facing down. On moonless nights the stars are marvelous, but if it’s cloudy, it’s just deeply dark and a tad scary outside. So many local predators are night hunters: mountain lions, javalina, scorpions, countless snakes, reptiles and the occasional rude misogynist human male, not to mention the countless cacti and hostile spiked greenery which seem to jump out and brush against a night-blinded human resulting in countless thistles, thorns and prickles embedded into tender flesh. I have made this app convenient; I don’t even have to unlock my phone to get access to my light. So, thank you, dear computer folks, for creating this app.

My girlfriend, her family and I were all stuck out on a boat in the middle of Pyramid lake in Nevada. The steering went out first and then the engine. Pyramid is known for the big waves when the wind picks up. Luckily we had phone service and were able to contact the search and rescue. By the time the search and rescue came out on the highway, it was dark and we could see their lights. I used the Itorch and the search and rescue were able to locate us from the highway and then find their way over to us. When they arrived to our boat the officers said that the strobe light helped them out a ton.

This app is one of my most used apps on my phone. The strobe is why I downloaded this app in the first place, but I've since used this app for getting around my house in the dark, and to add some effects while listening to music. This is probably the best flashlight app on the App Store. If you're looking for a flashlight app that's free and has astonishing brightness, and a strobe that has selectable flashing frequencies, look no further.
