Flash Maker

Look don’t get me wrong the app is a little difficult to maneuver, but to the people who are mass 1 staring this app (you’re more than likely doing it wrong) now of course I MAY be wrong and you may be doing everything right but just in case this may help. Flashforge products sometimes likes to switch the IP it’s on (even when LAN connected) you HAVE TO make sure it is on the same IP, same WiFi, same everything. Only then it works. I almost quit this app for the same reasons as all of you people. But please take a look into your settings in the printer, computer, and phone. Make sure it all lines up, if then it still does not work it’s definitely a manufacturing error.

It works most of the time. But there are some times when you try to connect to the printer and the app says it is offline. But the printer is on, WiFi is connected. The computer is on and fine. Reload the program and it still says offline. Turn off the machine and it says offline. So the main fix is to go to it with your computer, turn off the printer and shut down the program, wait for a while, then turn on the printer first then open the app after a while. Sorry, but what the heck. My computer is on the second floor, the printer is in the basement and yes I realize this is a first world problem, but connectivity shouldn’t be an issue. Especially as frequently as this happens which is at least twice a day.

I know that the app is not like what Bambu Labs has where it has a library and you can print directly from it. I’m very simple, I just want to see my print and make sure it’s going fine. That doesn’t even work properly. The camera loses connection after 15 seconds. The light feature doesn’t work. It won’t turn off the light no matter how many times I press the icon. It will occasionally turn it on, but never off. If there were another option I’d take it, but there isn’t. Sigh.
