F1 TV

I am an avid American sports fan. NFL, MLB, NHL, NASCAR, PGA Golf. With the left wing woke politics that have invaded major sports in the USA it has become literally unwatchable for me. Seems every sport would find a way to insert a political message into every broadcast in one way or another. So in a search for something new I decided to start playing video games and after seeing the reviews for the F1 23 game sat down one night in January and started learning the sport. I literally may never watch NASCAR again. I am hooked on F1. The drivers. The teams. The history of the sport. The game came with a free subscription to F1 TV and now my man cave TV is tuned in to every event and the never ending replay archive of the races from years gone by and my sleep schedule is now even designed around the race schedules of every series. I am retired and have found myself counting the days until the next race comes on. I also really enjoy watching the incredibly talented young drivers compete in the F2 and F3 series. I have learned an incredible amount through not just tuning my cars in the game but also watching the many well produced shows on F1 TV with both working hand in hand to improve my lap times in game and also enjoy the racing even more having a clear understanding of car set ups and tire management etc…..A fascinating sport that I will surely be an avid fan of for the rest of my days. Not only can you get past race replays and highlights on demand, but you can also watch each and every practice, qualifying, and race live. Other apps/sports channels limit viewing certain race events depending on the area in which you reside- you MIGHT get to view free practice 1 and 3, but only in Spanish. Or, you record the event on your tv only to have the last five/ten minutes cut off frequently - resulting in you missing the end of qualifying and/or the race. Sometimes, other sports apps/channels won’t even broadcast qualifying much less any free practices. With F1 Tv, you will be able to see any/every part of the racing weekend from start to finish. F1 Tv has drivers interviews, shows and analyses, documentaries, weekend wrap-up’s, on-boards, warm-up shows AND allows the viewer the flexibility to watch the event whilst also picking/choosing which driver they want to continuously follow. The view is from that drivers car that you are able to choose. I’ve only had F1 Tv for two races and I’ve already cancelled my ESPN app/coverage. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how comprehensive the coverage that F1 Tv provides for the low cost of the app.

I use this app for every F1 race as well as some other formula races too as I live in the USA and generally it’s pretty good. There’s a lot of lag from the live event, sometimes over a minute, and at least 30 seconds between the feeds available on here. If you weren’t aware of what actually happening at the race track, you probably wouldn’t know. There are also times when there’s so much internet lag that the so called live feeds are really blocky, or just won’t play at all. I also don’t like how for the last season we no longer get the option to watch the world feed of the pre race show. Watching Martin Brundle doing the grid walk is quite often the best part of the weekend and we no longer get this, at least in the US. But did the price come down from last season to reflect the reduction in available live material, of course not, it went up. Having said that, generally this app work reasonably well, I do think they need to figure out how to fill the gaps where the international live feed has commercials, and all we get is silence. But this is the best way I have found to watch F1 if you don’t have cable or satellite TV and a subscription to the channel that it’s shown on over here.
