Tab on far right says unlock after chapter 12, I’m on 15 and it’s still locked. Combo’s are a little difficult to figure out in 10 waves. The refresh button being locked or grayed out when having funds to refresh is a bit odd. The game has potential if it gets a few tweaks.
I’ve really been loving this game so far! It’s super unique and has a lot of potential. But as the other review mentioned, the mixing system can get confusing. Pressing on an item helps, but in the Elements tab it would be great if the game showed which combinations create each item. Right now it’s a bit all over the place and hard to keep track of. I think adding something like chests or another progression system would make leveling up items feel more meaningful. Traits or bonuses for different element types could also add more depth. For special items, it would be awesome to have some kind of hint system so the player has a general idea of how to work toward them instead of just guessing. Another thing I noticed is that weapon effects go through the swords, staffs, etc., when attacking monsters. Adding actual animations or making the effects attach properly to the weapon would make combat feel a lot cleaner. A cool idea for the future could be adding a wizard-type character or avatar who “bends” the elements you craft. Maybe the player is traveling along a road or path, discovering new recipes and enemies as they go. It would give everything a sense of direction and purpose. Overall, though, great start and I’m excited to see where the game goes!
Really fun game. It’s like a defense kind of game, and you’re trying to learn the best build. I finished up to chapter 13. 2 main issues are: 1) when you’re upgrading fireball, damage only goes up to 90. If you try to increase it past that, you spend the resources but the damage doesn’t go up… I wasted 2 upgrades on this to realize what’s happening. 2) right off the bat, there’s a tab that should be unlocked after reaching chapter 12. It was a huge disappointment to see it still being locked when I beat chapter 12. It could have been a much better game / experience if it wasn’t for these 2 huge disappointments.
