The bill pay item has changed so you have to scroll all the way to the bottom to see pending payments. It used to be simpler to see these items and I would prefer they be at the top of the page. Setting up a new recurring payment is laborious and difficult to see how future payments will be done. I prefer online banking but this app isn’t the greatest. Unless you set up notifications in the app it is very easy to miss messages that are in teeny tiny headers at the top of the page. I never saw this until my mortgage payment got returned and I had to call to find out why. It was the same mortgage holder but I had to set up a whole new account.
Depositing a check can be hit or miss, with the miss being that it is stuck in a never-ending loading screen after trying to submit the check image. It would also be nice if it auto takes a picture once the check is aligned like many other bank apps. It is also too easy to be able to edit the order of your accounts. I always keep on accidentally moving the ordering instead of scrolling down. We are already able to edit it in Account Preferences, why bother having that feature on the main screen? I think Elements should look to the likes of Chase/American Express for inspiration on how to design a banking app. Or, for an example of a credit union with a great UI/UX experience, check out Alliant Credit Union. They all have aesthetically pleasing UIs that adds to creating a great UX. I also can’t seem to figure out how to remove external transfer accounts.
A good online banking application. There are some areas for improvement - the default bill pay site is pretty useless, the advanced bill pay site should be the default. Also, when sites update their security settings, web page address, or bill payment address, there is no way to suggest an update to correct the issue, and the bill pay provider is a bit slow to incorporate these updates. Overall, the convenience far outweighs the issues above, so it does save time.
