Echo: In-Ear Voice Translator

I had been looking for an in-ear translator while in Vietnam, purely because I was curious to know what people around me were saying. This ended up working perfectly. Even the novelty of listening in on conversations in elevators and coffee shops is awesome. I later tried it in Spain and worked just as well. Highly recommend!

Like other reviewers have mentioned, I am unable to use the app because it is stuck in the setup process after attempting to download the Spanish language, and no matter how long I’ve waited, it still says that it’s being downloaded and won’t allow me to proceed further. The developers responded to another review of this issue in May, but clearly underestimated the problem and almost a year later have yet to fix it. If it’s eventually fixed, I’ll be glad to actually use the app and leave a new review, but because it’s unusable, 1 star seems to be the only fitting option

I’ve been searching for something like this for my next trip to Europe to help me with the small daily interactions with locals. This app allows me to get the support I need in my headphones so that I can accurately respond and understand. This is perfect and can’t wait to use it!
