Owner op

I see others wrote the same reviews about the same problem I’m having where it disconnects and then says to turn on Bluetooth even though my Bluetooth is on. I’ve gotten DOT violations because of it. Seeing that I’m paying for the service and it still gets me in trouble, I’m upset. It works when it feels like it but when it doesn’t work I basically have to delete the app, re-download and sign in and start over again. I tried calling them and of course their customer service is not the best at all. They tried telling me that I can only have 1 device connected to my phone at any given time and that I need to unpair from all other devices and blah blah blah. It’s not my phone. It’s your systems. And seeing that I’m not the only person that has had this problem, I know I’m not wrong.

Terrible app

I attempted to use this for a trip, on a trial subscription. It took me 2-1/2 hours to update eld, and get it to connect to app. It didn’t properly log my times, put me in the wrong time zone and violated me multiple times on the first day. On the second day, it said my trial was over and that the app would no longer function until I paid for a subscription. The gps device kept crashing when I needed it for specific directions, making it completely useless. I ended up having to use paper logs. My second attempt to use the app and gps was a complete failure. The gps stopped working, and could not find itself. It kept “thinking” it was 1200 miles away from where it truly was. These devices are junk. They have had years to work this stuff out, and failed. I bought Garmin devices, and while they have their own quirks, they are light years ahead of Rand McNally. I am really disappointed, because I have used RM maps for over 40 years and always believed in their products and reputation. This is no longer true.

Several Log Violations!

I purchased the DC200 and with it the $25 a month subscription. I downloaded the app and paired it to the DC200( truck was parked at yard) I go home and by the next morning as I was preparing to start my day, I opened the app to go on duty and to my surprise I was already in violation! How this app puts you on duty and drive time is beyond me..before I drove away I had to get this fixed as I was going out of state. I was told they can’t fix the drive time and that a developer would call me back to help me fix this issue- never got a call btw. App never worked so I was forced to purchase a log book, it was the worst trip I did and I’m grateful I didn’t get pulled in or I would’ve been suing Rand McNally for selling some bs. I tried opening the app to see if it was ever fixed 4 days later and guess what? I had 4 other violations when I haven’t even been driving nor have I even open the app. Went right back to where I bought from and got a refund! If you aren’t capable of creating an app that is fully functional and can’t provide support for issues you’re at fault for then you’re in the wrong business but don’t bring us down with you!Not sure if Rand McNally is aware of the trouble we can get into for mistakes like this but they should probably do some homework. To all my fellow drivers, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a fully functioning ELD. Rand McNally is trash all around, from the TND 740 junk I spend my money on to this app that’s as bad if not worst!Never again will I spend my money on their products nor will I recommend them to anyone. Wish I would’ve read the reviews prior to purchasing it! Lesson learned!!
