I left my phone in the car. I tried reaching out to the driver and guess whatโฆ the phone number on his DiDi account was no longer working! Deactivated. Tried sending messages to the driver about the phone but never replied. Thankfully I have an iPhone which I can track the location. I called the police regarding this but they told me they could help me once the location stopped moving (since it was in the car and he kept switching locations). So I decided to get a taxi and follow my phoneโs location. It took me about 2 hrs to finally catch up to the location. Once I finally saw his car, I asked him about the phone and he initially did not want to give me my phone back! Saying โwhat phone????โ Acting all dumb. Some kind guy came to the help and the thief finally admitted to having my phone!!! DiDi was not helpful at all! During this whole ordeal, I could not go back to his profile to show it to the police (thankfully I took a picture of it beforehand) nor could I report the driver for his reckless driving (almost collided head on with a taxi) during the ride and his dishonesty about the missing phone! I tried to find a support number in DiDi to report to driver but could not find any phone numbers! Iโm better off using Uber or some other app where I can have actual people help me whenever problems arise with the driver. This is insane lack of communication from DiDiโs part. Someone like that driver should not be trusted in driving citizens.
Useless. Apparently no way to verify cards from when your account is from a foreign currency. Entered exact amount taken out of redeposited in my account still nothing. Good luck with rates, conversions, and rounded numbers. No currency or language options in help screens. Limited cash options. App also crashes and glitches while using. I wish the "grab" would take over in this part of the world like it has in Asia, because that app is actually functional.
It is sad that this app tries to add cost every possible way. If you don't know exactly where you are going and request, then request again the price increases to the same location. They don't do this in Brazil. If you wait too long to confirm your start time, it adds cost to the ride. Puts too much pressure from money hungry app developers. So stupid. You should put the customer experience first, not trying to add money every possible way
My trip cost a bit more than the trip estimate I saw when I requested. So had that exact money on me from the estimate I saw when booking. When the trip ended it was a bit more as driver took a longer route. So upon reaching my destination he ends the trip and I see itโs a bit more. So kindly ask if I can fetch some change inside, he then starts to complain saying you customers like doing this, it wastes their time. I then mentioned the trip was more than the estimate cause he took a longer route, Iโm not saying Iโm not going to pay, just asked to fetch more change in the house. When I get back with the correct change he then says I was sleeping, why didnโt I tell him the correct way to go instead I was probably sleeping cause thatโs why I didnโt say anything. I said why would you insult me by saying Iโm sleeping when I clearly wasnโt?? What do you mean by that?? He then went to say Iโm crying for the extra money on the trip, I now told him why would I cry for that, you took a longer route and I knew it would mean extra, when we got to the house I gladly fetched the money so how am I crying for the extra money?!! He now went on to insult me by calling me names. How disgusting of him. So I am very bothered by how they would treat a lady, what did I do wrong??!! I never refused to pay or anything. His grievance was that I wasted his time by quickly going into the house to fetch some change. How pathetic
I used this while in Costa Rica. I paid with cash so everything was good. Great drivers. And cheaper than Uber. I decided to add my card. But any โCosta Rican grannyโ told me not to put my card on there. But I did it just to get some food delivered then I was going to take it off. That next day (a Saturday) my card stopped working and I thought because it was going to expire this month so I wasnโt worried about it. I just planned on calling my bank that Monday. I called my bank and asked them what happened long story short this app said they were going to do $0.89 authorization then refund the money (which they did) BUT after that they tried to take $550 out of my account! No car ride in Costa Rica is that expensive or food deliver is that expensive! But luckily my bank blocked that. So this is a warning the app is amazing but the scamming the card part is ridiculous! Now Iโm two weeks out of having a card. Luckily I had enough cash on hand & my credit card during my trip OR I would have been horribly struggling because they scanned me and my bank wonโt even unblock my debit card because itโs compromised.
The app needs improvement on food deliveries. It only has pre written complaints. My order was delivered with the soda in the same bag as the hot food, and one small package of ketchup for my fries. I couldn't enter any of this. You can't enter special instructions for the restaurant. I have a coupon from a prior issue, it can't be used, and the app never tells you before final check out. App needs a lot of improvements.
