Delete Contacts+

I have struggled to find an app to help me reduce the 28,000+ contacts on my iPhone through years of replacing phones and lots of duplicated information. The app worked for one run when looking for “Exact Duplicates” and seemed to hit a limit of around 705 until it got down to the last 550. I did have to quit and restart the app each time after cleaning up duplicates, but it was still way faster then deleting by hand. I tried to move local contacts to my Exchange account but the app hanged, I was able to copy/paste all of them, then deleted them from the Local Address Book. I had to clean up the duplicates again and got rid of contacts with no name. My phone favorites had some issues that I had to clean-up and I’m sure I’ll have a few missing contacts that I’ll have to recreate, but for $4 it was worth it to get down to 3,800 contacts (collected over 25 years in case you are wondering). I would suggest to the developer they work with someone on the guide and offering more instructions, there is certainly room for improvements to make this a great app.

I had an emoji app that I downloaded in 2012. Unfortunately, each emoji created a contact! The instructions to remove these was included with each emoji and told me to open the app and shut them off. That would be great, except the app doesn’t exist anymore, so there’s no way to do that! I didn’t want to take the time to go through and delete the 350 contacts it created, so I downloaded this app to clean them out. It literally took me less than one minute because of the auto sort feature. This is absolutely a fantastic app for what I needed! Highly recommend… And it didn’t charge me anything. Simply amazing! This app is so amazing. I accidentally copied my contacts while learning to use a thumb drive with my iPhone 6s. Had 3 of each. Spent a lot of time trying to delete the copies one at a time but after I purchased this app it was a breeze. Just select duplicates it compiles the list and then deletes on command. I had over 1000 contacts. This also allows you to look at your contact list and select multiple people instead of deleting one contact at a time. Makes deleting out of date contacts so easy. Great app for people who are continuously having to update their contacts for business. So glad I found this one.
