Deglaze: Cooking, Simplified

This is literally the first time I’m publicly reviewing an app because this 100% deserves to be shared. It is a fantastic app. I have always been the person to save recipes on Instagram, in my notes app, in text threads. I finally fell for the Instagram adds advertising other recipe consolidation apps but all the ones I tried were more of a hassle than my old method. I saw this suggested on Reddit and tried it. I have never seen an app more carefully and considerately programed. I genuinely don’t know which feature is my favorite but it’s so intuitive and not overwhelming at all. All the steps in the recipe are shown at once so you don’t have to go back and forth to see what’s coming up. You can click on each step in the recipe you are on to highlight it and not lose your place. You can click on timers directly in the recipe and run multiple timers at once. (It even tells you exactly how long PAST a timer something is if you are like me and like to cook some things a little extra). I honestly didn’t think I could like a utility app so much but this was so clearly carefully and thoughtfully designed and developed, and for FREE, they deserve recognition. I haven’t used the extra functions like sharing recipes with others or subscribing to find recipe suggestions - honestly it seems like goodreads but for recipes which is cool but not my reason for the app. It’s easy to ignore those features and just stick to my recipes.

Deglazed has absolutely been the most intuitive, helpful, useful app we’ve ever downloaded, especially to help with cooking! We no longer have stacks of recipes torn out from magazines, printed recipes, attempts at organized recipe binders that never stay organized, and piles of cooking magazines lying around…instead we now have everything stored neatly within the app! We literally cleaned out an entire cabinet in our house by transferring loose recipes into this app (needless to say, we do A LOT of cooking at home)! We can use tags (and create our own) to quickly search for keywords/categories, which makes finding our saved recipes super easy (no more flipping through stacks of papers in a frustrating hunt)! We can even search by specific ingredients! This app is so smart that it even translated a sloppily handwritten recipe that we uploaded, and converted it into a neatly organized, easy to read typed version! There are SO many more features that make this app AMAZING, but way too many to list! And the app is FREE!! In fact, we love this app so much, that we ended up buying an iPad specifically to keep in the kitchen and use for cooking with this app! THANK YOU TO THE DEVELOPERS FOR CREATING THIS OUTSTANDING COOKING APP OF THE FUTURE!!

Y’all! This app is truly AMAZING!!!! I have never wrote a review for an app but I had to for this! I have had tons of videos saved from social media for recipes for years. But honestly have I done anything with them, no, hardly ever. The task of scrolling to find the right video, writing down the recipe, and cooking instructions is a nightmare! Then looking up recipes online can be a pain and not to mention the annoying adds! Uhh! This app has truly saved me so much time and effort! I love cooking and trying new recipes ideas and this makes it an amazing experience! I’ve even save natural home remedy recipes as well has homemade beauty product recipes and cleaning solution recipes. You can edit the original recipe you imported if you want to, you have easy link access to the original post from social media. You can create your own tags for easy filtering. And the shopping list!! Oh my goodness the shopping list is so convenient and a total game changer! Scroll through and simply add the meals you want to make for the week to your shopping list and BOOM. It’s even categorize by meat, produce, bakery, etc. I wish I knew about this app way sooner!!!!
