Defenders of Afar

This old school tower defense game has 15 levels and is very challenging on hard! It is a lot of fun and reminds me of the old tower defense games I played years ago. Amazingly, there are zero ads! The game is entirely free, a rare thing these days.

I love games like bloons tower defense and kingdom rush so this was a great game for me! I like the pixel art style and the different towers you can choose from. The gameplay loop is simple but entertaining. There were a few features I wish were present like pausing between waves so that you have time to look at your resources and strategize what towers to buy before the next enemies arrive and a tutorial page that tells you what each tower does so you don’t have to learn as you go. I hope those will be added as the game is polished. But this game is starting on a great foundation and is a lot of fun.

Great game, art style looks good and the UI is pretty clean but I’d say it just throws you in with no tutorial or explanation. I think that also this game needs a shorter time on each level it took me about 5 minutes to finish 10 waves on level 1 and for the first level of the game that was a bit much
