Dead Paradise: Race Shooter

Where is everyone, it feels really sad and lonely and all reviews are from last year i love Dead Paradise series I even first played it when I was younger first exploring more amazing exciting games on websites and believe me I had a blast it was nostalgia. Best police chase multiplayer game I ever played was Track Racing Online Pursuit I really hope someone can bring it back porting to Steam and make it available for all computer platforms. As an OG Dead Paradise, Road of Fury, Earn to Die, Rail of War, Track Racing Pursuit, and many more, is my GREATEST Timeless MASBTERPIECES favorites of all years. We can talk and do more awesome ideas or games you know, all of my explaining is complicated I hope for a new dead paradise game or who knows. these last few years have been awful and i wish for more masterpieces games such as Track Racing Pursuit stand out from most we have seen, look i know it’s long story probably have said enough. Dear Smoko devs I have been a long years fan of your great games series, idk else to say or hope underrated masterpieces get the attention it needs. Overall the game is fun - some good challenges and lots of vehicles to acquire and upgrade. The main problem is in the controls and movement. The controls only allow for forward and backward movement, but the actual movement of the vehicle is in all directions, as turning/swerving to recover from being hit, collisions, etc. is controlled by the AI. Unfortunately there are times when you can get stuck - for example your vehicle swerves off a bridge, dropping you into an area you can't get out of because the sides are too steep, or you get stuck because your vehicle swerved and is no longer lined up to go through a gateway or something. If you're going to allow for movement in all directions, then you need to allow the player to control in all directions! Fix this problem, and the game is 4-5 stars. A smaller issue is the voiceovers - like the other games by this dev, they're spoken in broken English in a really heavy accent, making it very hard to understand what's being said. Fortunately you don't need to since they're all just for flavor - none of it is necessary to play the game.

So thought this was going to be yet another cheapo game where the visuals look good but the game is bad. I was way wrong. Like Hill Climb Racing or Earn To Die, You drive to the right. However, you control your guns and mussels and take down baddies coming at you from all directions. It feels like Mad Max in a way as you have guys on motorcycles jumping ramps coming at you as they enter the scene. You then position your gunner who rides in the back towards them. Launch a middle and boom. You go only so far and then come back to your garage where you can upgrade your vehicles and weaponry. What’s really neat and makes this game stand out from other side scrolling car games is it’s in full 3D. Bad guys can drive around you. You can also slam the brakes and go backwards to pick up an item you missed. Or if you get hit or hit a ramp and the physics turns your car a bit sideways, it will auto drive and get back on the main road. This isn’t some cheap 2D car battle game. If Twisted Metal and Earn To Die had a baby, it’s name would be Dead Paradise.
