My dogs birthday was the week before his grooming appointment. So we got him groomed, showed the groomer the haircut he usually has and what we were looking for. 2 hours later (no haircut he has had has been 2 hours and this is our first time with Dappertails) our dog is brought back with a pink bandana on and he is a boy and a VERY low haircut that looked NOTHING like the picture we showed the groomer. Also about a week later we found a bald spot near his ear where he had been nicked at. We told the groomer and the owner how dissatisfied we were with the cut and their response was “Hi It’s Jenna. I’m so sorry that you were not happy with Ryders haircut. Every groomer has a different grooming style. Our grooming style may not be a good fit for your preferences. To me it looks like the main difference in the inspo picture vs what Kaz did is the hair around the mouth is a lot longer. Typically, as groomers we don’t leave hair in the mouth because it gathers food and gets gross.” This was not told or discussed to us prior to our dog getting cut so the groomer just basically did what she wanted to do to our dog. Dappertails has lack of accountability and also very much lacks communication. I recommend Four Pretty Paws if you want to be satisfied with your dogs haircut, have proper communication, and if you’re looking for a mobile groomer. We only changed due to scheduling issues.
