There appears to be a password to connect to the Danby network during setup BUT the password is not provided.
Despite the advertising, Danby has not actually furnished a functioning smart AC unit. This is because there is no support on the back end. This app has been abandoned. The instructions on the app do not align with the nature of Danny’s products (calling for a reset button when there is none on my model). Even when working through the counter-intuitive process, it still doesn’t work and I get a fail notification.
Of all the smart home apps I’ve used this one would have been a game changer if it actually worked as it was intended. Sadly the app has a long way to go before it sees its full potential. That being said, if you have Danby device and don’t care if it’s manned by Alexa or Google Voice I highly recommend using the alternative Danby App for WiFi connected devices.
