DAJA LASER

As it has already been stated 18 times, I also could never even get the unit to connect, trying with a PC, WiFi, and the Hotspot, multiple times each, following the instructions verbatim. Please fix your system, a lot of people spent money on a product that is just straight up unusable without connection to an App. Do better, DAJA.

Maybe instead of giving me a pop up that says “you must connect to the machine first” with an “ok” button, how about providing a button that prompts the app the connect with the machine again? I somehow got the engraver to work, and I made some cool stuff, but then this app update that includes about a dozen “determine” buttons (don’t ask, I have no idea), and now I can’t even get it to connect. I’m so frustrated with this thing. There’s nowhere to save your work in the app, so if you leave the DAJA window, boom, goodbye work! And then you have to start all over again. Also, this app is far from having enough English for them to say that the app is available in English, because that’s a high, steamy load. I don’t know what the “quit” button is supposed to do, but the help section of the horrible instruction booklet says to hit the “offline” button, so I’m guessing maybe that’s what it’s supposed to be doing? But if it is, there’s no indication that you’re offline! Grrrrrr. I will say, it’s never crashed on me before, so kudos to building an app who’s crowning achievement is that it doesn’t spontaneously fail.

So, my very own DJ6 finally arrived. The cable suggests connecting to a PC, I can’t get the program to open ON my PC. I downloaded the app to my ipad, it doesn’t seem to be able to communicate with the DJ6. So, I have a desktop laser that runs a test pattern when switched on, but does nothing else. Wonderful. I’ll be awaiting notice of newer software, or something. Maybe someone else will write program to use this unit, because it seems like DAJA built them but didn’t work out the problems. Expensive Paperweight, for now.
