Amazing!

Previously, I said that my main issue with this app is that in local mode it always opens PRs and doesn't use the local ssh keys I have for it when I start the worker. That seems to be fixed now. So as promised, this gets a perfect score from me. My favorite feature is the remote control and it's useful far beyond features or fixes. It's nice to occasionally run a fetch, checkout, build, etc. before you get to work; or just check on the status of something. It saves me a lot of headache connecting to the vpn. Previous review for context: Let me just skip to the parts I don't like. The local remote control feature is essentially all I use. It must be in the system prompt to open a PR for everything because it does despite many commands not to. It also never asks me to confirm ANYTHING before opening a PR on my behalf. That is completely unacceptable to me. My agent workers are always started in a shell with access to my github keys, so I don't even need the github integration per se. This app would get 5⭐️ if it changed the system prompt when running local workers and maybe let you know if it had push access for the repo the worker was started in. Github already has a setting that lets you adjust how much oversight you want to give your agents by default. If there were some sort of setting that let you review the proposed pr before opening, that would be perfect.

Excellent product with remarkable outcomes!

Cursor Is Truly in a Class of Its Own Over the past several years, I have tried countless platforms designed to assist with coding and software development, and Cursor is—without question—the clear winner in my book. The Cursor team continually improves the platform and remains remarkably active in developing meaningful features that genuinely separate it from the competition. Because of that, I have migrated most of my projects from other platforms to Cursor, and I fully expect it to remain an essential part of our technology stack for many years to come. I felt compelled to add more to this review because Cursor deserves far more than a brief recommendation. I work in the technology industry and evaluate no fewer than a dozen new products every month for our businesses and our clients. Very few products ever become truly indispensable—but Cursor has. Cursor is much more than a programming and coding tool. Its ability to connect with virtually anything through APIs and access tokens opens an extraordinary range of possibilities. It supports nearly every major large language model while also providing the flexibility to use custom API access at a very reasonable cost within its IDE. That level of openness, capability, and flexibility is exceptionally rare. I genuinely believe Cursor is one of the most innovative and valuable technology products of the modern era. Its acquisition by SpaceX makes perfect sense, and I sincerely congratulate the entire Cursor team on this incredible achievement. My greatest hope is that Cursor’s future remains as advanced, customer-focused, generous, and refreshingly non-greedy as the company has been throughout the years. The team has built something truly extraordinary, and they deserve tremendous recognition for it. Cursor has earned our trust, our loyalty, and our highest possible recommendation. A+++++

Things that are missing

I’ve been using Cursor for quite a long time, and one of my favorite features is the cloud agents. I use them all the time, so I was really looking forward to the native mobile app. I even upgraded to iOS 26 just because of it, even though I hadn’t planned to. The app turned out to have a really nice design, but it’s still missing some functionality that’s already available in the web version. For example, you can’t see what the sub-agents are doing, project skills don’t seem to be displayed properly, and only the default Cursor skills appear to be available. There are also a few other minor shortcomings that I think will be fixed over time. The app would be pretty much perfect if it eventually reached feature parity with the web version.
