This app is the way I like to read the CJ. However, recently when I bring up the enewspaper on my iPad, there is an overlay of ads, pictures, QR codes, who knows what all, that appears over the top of the content. It’s as if you printed something on a piece of paper that already had printing on it. Both content and ads are virtually unreadable. If you page over and come back, it might be gone. But that is no guarantee that it won’t be back. In addition, I love doing the crossword puzzles but for many months, “Today’s Crossword” cannot be printed in whole on letter sized paper from the iPad or iPhone. The USA Today puzzle is fine and the Sunday puzzles, though much bigger, are fine. If you try to reduce the size to fit on one sheet, it doesn’t change at all, and never will fit it all on one page. I can print it on one page from my PC but not from my iPad or iPhone, even though I used to be able to do this and can STILL print the USA Today puzzle from there.
Generally quality reporting. Adapting to tech changes has been difficult. Some days there is a thick black bar running across the bottom of the screen when viewing enewspaper. Could do without that for a bigger screen to view. On occasion there are hoops to jump through to get to the enewspaper to view it. I used to be a CJ/ Lou Times delivery boy. So I plod through tech changes recognizing changing times require it.
I have just decided they discourage folk from the printed copy and give poor service, gives messed up printed copies, arrogant carriers who complain. That the paper cannot be folded off the print line because of their time crunch, when I lived in Windsor Forest I stopped getting the paper because Priddy would not put it in plastic on wet days and in the CJ brick box that we had built. On the occasion it was put in plastic, it was thrown on the ground in the wet grassy area. Now to discourage purchase, they change the price for the newspaper and charge for unknown services i.e. “color edition(or the like)”, paper notice, or “special edition(or such)” and do not notify you of the days they do not deliver due to snow. I though that once I moved fromWindsor Forest that things would change. At least Priddy folded the paper correctly and seldom doubled those ad inserts. The guy who is carrier now,is so anxious to use our restrooms, that he does not have time to just give you one of inserts for ads, he is just wanting to get his money. Well I thought digital would be better, but this thing does not accept my password and then as it is changed it does not accept it again, this is a shameful excuse for a newspaper service or any service.
