Best update by far! Landscape keyboard works perfect! Memo function great for creating study lists! New text function working smoothly. You guys out did yourselves this time! ขอบใจมาก!
I use this daily when in Thailand and would feel a great loss without it. I'm able to more accurately express myself with my non English speaking Thai relatives and I'm more self sufficient on all levels. This app is a blessing for me!
Generally fast and easy to use, this is overall the best Thai-English dictionary I've found available on the App Store. For the price, however, it needs some refinement, which hopefully will be included in future updates. The interface is clean and easily readable (a welcome difference from other, although perhaps more comprehensive, apps). The availability of the attached sound files is also nice and will be useful to less advanced users. Searches, at least in English, return partial matches as well as exact ones, which is another useful feature. One limitation is that you are required to view each of them individually, returning to the master list each time to view another entry. It would be far more easy and useful to simply be able to scroll or page down to see the next entry, with the option of course to return to the master list. Another problem I have noticed is that certain Thai words are not recognized when entered under the "Thai" search field, (e.g. entering "ทำไม" returns only "ธ" and "ธ.") Using the "Transcript" function sometimes works well, but does require that you enter many words according to transliteration that the programs recognizes, and sometimes doesn't work at all. For example, entering "peung," or even the program's own transliteration "phueng" for the word "พึ่ง" does not return the desired entry. I have been unable to find a way to submit this feedback to the developers themselves (hopefully they are reading this!). In any case, still a nice app with a lot of potential. It seems that the changes required to bring it up to snuff would not be that difficult to implement. And, at $40, hopefully those changes will be forthcoming soon!
