The app is decent but it can definitely be improved. The most recent update has two modes that says Ambient Noise Control instead of one of them saying Active Noise Cancelling. When you start your headphones, it always goes to ANC instead of the last option you had it in which can drain your battery faster. Lastly, when watching movies or videos, it can develop a static and you're forced to turn off your headphones and then turn them back on. A firmware update could possibly fix that problem?
The basic functionality is there. There’s a bunch of preset EQs and 2 custom EQs to mess around with as needed. It would be nice if they’d show you the EQ settings and let you tweek them. A better EQ would be nice too, like an 8-band EQ (please!!)! The app should remember your device as well. Putting some work into the app would send a “Cleer message” that Cleer audio is a quality product. The user interface GUI is goes a long way in communicating what kind of product/company you are. Look at Apple, haha, but seriously.
Sent this in via the app, but it is annoying to have to select the device I have EVERY time I use the app. The simple recognition of the devices associated with the app and that are being connected is a basic function which should not be missing in 2022. In contrast, the Sony headphones app for my >$80 WF-C500 remembers device and last settings along with a other minor trivial functions designed to enhance the user experience. This app needs a significant update to match the level of the hardware is is associated with.
