I Play tournament chess at about 1500 level and I love this app! Especially well done are the graphics. It looks like a real board. Chess master for example has dozens of sets and they are all but one too distracting to play with. This app is far better! Wonderful adjustment for playing strength. The only thing I think it could use is a draw offer. It does not seem to recognize draw by insufficient material and we must play on to get the 50 move rule for a draw, it also has the disconcerting flaw of not recognizing the draw by repetition rule correctly. The same position must appear three times in a row with the same player to move and this app often claims a draw when it does has not fulfilled the requirements, but it is my favorite app!

I consider myself I great chess player, and Ive been doing it since preschool. I love this game. The best chess player at my school became the greatest, and taught himself how to play by using this! I am very happy to have such a wonderful, simple app that gives you a classic chess game. Suggestions: I would like to give a few suggestions. I was wondering if there could be a way to input rules in the game. (Touch it move it, no undo button, etc.) This is how we play in tournaments. I also would like to recommend to actually add tournament mode with tournament style rules. You could have five rounds, and a bunch of divisions like k-1, k-3, k-5, and k-12. This would help more chess players to practice for tournaments and just spend their time. Like I said before, I am super pleased with this app. As a member of the school chess team, and one of the top ten players in my grade, I give this the stamp of approval. Thanks for making this excellent game!

As one who is chess challenged and has made very little progress in the past several decades, this is a great learning tool. No need to embarrass myself in front of others or waste their time trying to teach me. Sometimes I think that I am improving and could take on a 9 or 10 year old instead of battling the 8 and under crowd. The tune in the background is very relaxing and if it starts to bother you then just mute it. Love the "undo" button when a stupid mistake is made. The difficulty slide is nice to have if you keep losing and need to build the ego again. Game seems very realistic. About only improvement needed would be to depict it in 3D instead of flat. I will never be good but at least nobody will know it and I can enjoy the game in my own way.
