The app allows you to play checkers both with and without force jump. Lots of ppl complain bc they feel that the app is cheating them by making them jump. This is the way checkers is supposed to be played. Makes the game go by a lot faster. You can opt out of force jumping. However I’d strongly encourage you to try it. You just unlock force jumping bf you start your game and you can play without it. Also about the puzzles. They are not in order of difficulty some of them are harder than others at least for me. But thy are all solvable. I’ve already solved a good amount of them without use of AI or anything. This is a great app if you wanna get better at checkers. The computer is really smart but inconsistent on difficulty. I can affirm it doesn’t want to loose. And won’t make any mistakes once you have it in the hard level. But it’s also motivated to win by technical term. Prioritizing crowns over taking more pieces. Love this app
I got this game because I thought it would be fun to play checkers without needing another person to play. However, whenever I have the opportunity to jump the other side but don’t want to because it would be a bad strategy, the game forces me to jump them. An example that I am still very annoyed at is a particular game where I managed to get 3 kings without moving any of my peaces on the edge of the board, meaning the other side couldn’t get any kings. Whenever the other team moved a price for me to jump, I didn’t want to, because then a second peace on the opposite team would be able to get a king without me being able to jump them. When I tried to move a different price instead of jumping, the game wouldn’t let me. It forced me to jump the piece, leaving the second one to get a king with light me being able to stop it. No matter how many times I hit undo, thinking there might be a glitch, I couldn’t and ended up losing a game that I originally had an easy win in. Another problem I've seen is every now and then the opposite team can’t move a price without being jumped; they just skip their turn and force me to make another move even though it was their turn. An example of this is a game where I had all my kings surrounding the opposite team's single king. There was nowhere it could go. I waited for the opposite team to make a move, then realized it was my turn again, even though their king didn’t even move!!!! I had to back up one of my prices, leaving room for the king to escape, and my plan was ruined!😡 I’m deleting this game until the problem is fixed because I will not play an unfair game.
I found myself recently obsessed with checkers, this game has great graphics, sounds and I love that you have unlimited hints. You can play against a robot or with someone else. But there is one thing for the difficulty, I always set it on easy but I still find it really hard to beat the robot. But switching it to the hardest difficulty seemed easier than the lowest difficulty... I’m just a little confused. Overall I’d definitely recommend this, great time killer if you’re bored.
