I like the concept and went ahead and bought the pro hardware which consists of a gateway to access real-time data from your smart meter. When I attempted to follow the instructions to register the gateway with SCE the website said I didn’t have any eligible accounts. I tried requesting support, but there’s no phone number and the chat feature just makes you leave a message which hasn’t been returned after multiple attempts over the course of a week. On my own I discovered that not all smart meters support Home Area Network (HAN) devices. Not impressed and still waiting.
It's geeky cool to watch the power estimation for each month
This is an excellent app to track your electricity use. If you have a smart meter and install a gateway you can get real time energy monitoring. If you don’t have the gateway you can still get information, just delayed a day or two though. I am very happy with this app.
