Castle Link

I use the Castle B-link frequently for racing 1/8th scale buggy and truggy. I’ve never had any big problems that a power cycle didn’t clear. The data logging is fantastic compared to other manufacturers.

Fist they can’t fix the Futaba Mmx8s temp issue. They also have a bug where you have to set the motor in reverse and the channel on the control needs to be in reverse because it treats the input like it’s reversed and braking doesn’t work. Then this limited IOS app only works with Bluetooth when there are all kinds of usb adapters that let you do direct connect with the USB adapter but it doesn’t work :(

The app is terrible. The castle esc and my 6400kv motor are awesome but trying to use the app is an absolute joke. It’s slow to connect sometimes you have to power cycle the esc 3-4 times before you can connect. Torque settings won’t save or sync to the esc from the app, you can’t tune the throttle curve, the last firmware on the momba monster x was in 2018. I have to say unless they invest more money into the b-link software I won’t buy another because it was the selling point for me to spend all that money on their motor and esc so I didn’t have to lug around a laptop to tune my drag car
