Cash Reader for the Blind

This app is incredible. I love how I can scan any kind of money from around the world and get instant feedback on what the denomination of the cash is. I was sad to see money reader go, but cash reader is the ultamate app for determining the denomination of the bill. I love the fact that I can just pull out my phone and hold up the bill and immediately get virbal feedback on how much it is worth. For years I have been struggling to find the right app for reading money but now, I don't have to do that anymore. I strongly recommend this app for anyone who is blind or low vision and is tired of fumbleing around with loose bills or having to ask someone to read your cash to you. It is the best talking money app identifier out there. I will never go without my cash reader out and ready to go again.

I like the vibration feature, which announces the denomination in a non-verbal way. I also like that you can recognize bills without a data connection. Money Reader could do this, but you can no longer download that from the App Store. Depending on your use case, this may still be a better option, as it recognizes many currencies Money Reader did not. Also, as new bills with different designs come out, since Money Reader is no longer in deveropment apparently, Myoung Reader will likely not recogniue those. This app also does a lot of curency recognition not found in apps such as Seeing AI and iNote. Both of these apps are free, but you get what you pay for.

For now, I am using the 14 day free trial of this app. I have been using the MoneyReader app, but have heard that that might go away eventually, so I wanted to have something else ready for when that eventuality occurred. I downloaded this app, and it works fine, but on the other hand, when I was searching for a dollar bill to be read, it was making up currency denominations just sitting on my couch. I will most likely purchased this app should money reader ever stop working, but for now, I don’t see it being my go to app.
