I went to a Monro in Wappingers Falls, NY as recommended by this app for an oil change discount, but the hostility wasn’t worth the savings and I will not return. I experienced comically bad treatment from the moment I walked in by the man working the desk, who yelled at me for parking in a spot on the side of the building where the only other car was, instead of the front. He was not only rude and condescending to me while being super tender and sweet to the only other customer in there (a man), he was even angrier when he found out I went through caradvise, and it soon became obvious that was because he didn’t know how to use the system and was taking it out on me. He grabbed my phone right out of my hand at one point without permission to look at my screen (which I had tried to show him 10 min earlier and he dismissed me with a wave and said “that means nothing to me”…I guess it did huh?) bc he couldn’t figure his own out, and was melodramatically sighing and huffing the whole time. How original, an insecure man trying to cover up his incompetence through misogyny. I’ll never use caradvise again. No discount is worth being deeply humiliated for two hours, for doing absolutely nothing other than walking into a shop with a desk worker who hates women.

INSTACARTERS STAY AWAY THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!!! My first time using car advise, I set up an appointment for a headlight bulb swap. Upon pulling up to the mechanic, he quoted me what caradvise quoted me. When they went to charge me they charged me almost double the agreed rate. When I asked the car advise agent about this, she was rude and said it was obviously for the price of parts, but the mechanic and I were confused about the additional charges. The mechanic ended up not being able to fix it. I called back and somehow got the same agent. She was still rude and told me i would be refunded in 3-5 days. I left with my broken car with a dent in my wallet. 5 days later after no refund I decided to contact car advise. Justin informed me almost 30 minutes after contacting that they never initially issued a refund. I asked for a supervisor, but he kept posting screenshots from his billing platform ignoring my cries for someone to actually assist me. I still have yet to get my refund almost a few weeks later. I will be using a chargeback.

The first time I used car buys I didn’t have a problem with that. My appointment was made as it was to be made. The prices are great. The second I use CarAdvise they scheduled me an appointment for 5 PM when their call center or CarAdvise itself closes at 5 PM. Therefore the shop could not do service for me because they cannot run it through CarAdvise first. So then I reschedule my appointment for 9 AM two days later. CarAdvise me the same day of my appointment, prior to my appointment time, telling me that the 9 AM slot is unavailable, and that I can go in at 11 AM. I told her advised that the service writer at the shop told me to come in at 9 AM. Another instance was just recently, I made an appointment for 11 AM. CarAdvise confirm the appointment with me for 11 AM. I show up to the shop 15 mins prior to my appointment time to find out CarAdvise made the appointment for 3 PM. I rescheduled for Saturday, March 11. It’s Thursday and CarAdvise has not made my appointment with the shop or confirmed with me. My advice for anyone who wants to use CarAdvise, CALL THE SHOP AND BOOK YOUR OWN APPOINTMENT. THE EMPLOYEES WON’T GET ANYTHING DONE RIGHT OR ON TIME. Their price is great but that’s all they’re good for.
