Canasta Royale

So many issues, I wish I could screen shot and give it to a developer so it could be fixed. We now have smiley faces on the board, but the card counting is gone. The first round of the game I just played didn’t register points and went back to zero. A game I played a week ago should have ended because my opponent was out of cards, but didn’t end. I needed to forfeit to stop it. Some of the red threes stay in my hand instead of going on the board. The only way to play them is to discard. The timer doesn’t always show a time and stays on the same person. These are only a few of the issues.

I play this game a lot. I play on the hard setting and win just over 90% of the games. I’m 67 and have played canasta since I was a kid. This game isn’t like canasta is supposed to be played. The opponent plays it like gin rummy almost. Instead of the goal being to make as many canasta as possible, the opponent just gets 1 and is hellbent to go out. However, even tho it is not real canasta, it is still fun. I wish they had a 4 player version—-I just started playing at the expert level and there’s no real change. Canasta is supposed to be a game of skill and points. The goal is to make as many canasta as possible and as many of those to be clean as possible. Here, the opponent’s only goal is to go out as soon as possible much like gin rummy. I’m still winning over 90% of the time. This isn’t really a true canasta game which is a shame because the real game of canasta is fun and very challenging.

After this last update, something has happened with the app for Canasta and Hand and Foot. The app won’t let me finish a game and many times not even a hand. At first I thought maybe my iPad needed to be rebooted so I tried that but even after three tries the app won’t let me finish a game. After completing a hand the screen automatically goes to my iPad’s home screen. When I click on the game, it will come up with the games home screen and the button to “resume” game is there but when I click on it the screen goes back to the iPad home screen. Sometimes if I click on a different game it will come up and the message asking if I want to resume to start a new game comes up. If I click that “resume” button it again goes back to the iPad home screen. The only way I can play the game then is to click “new game” but it will not let me finish a game or sometimes even a hand. Your Canasta and Hand and Foot games were my favorite games to play but now the app is so frustrating I don’t even want to play it anymore and I was at a level in the 100’s. Hope you can fix whatever has happened since this last update.
