CamAI: Chat GPT-4V with Image

I downloaded this app out of curiosity to see if what it claims it can do is true, I’ve tested out a lot of different image viewer Ai apps or I should say apps that claim they can do that. None of them even compare to this one. I have seen a few errors so take what it tells you as a stepping off point and start from there. So for example I took a photo of a US coin that I already know has errors it is certified but I wanted to see what the Ai would say about it, the Ai told me it had an error because it was dated 2024 and that was a year in the future, since the mint doesn’t release coins before the year it saw this as an error. I attempted to tell the Ai that it was wrong the current year is 2024 and it was going to be 2025 in 2 months. It still said the same thing over and over like a stubborn child. I would think it would learn from a mistake especially if it’s pointed out to it. However it as far as I know would not budge. I took a photo of another coin same year and it did correctly identify errors, if it can learn and become consistent this would be a huge asset to collectors of many different things, it helps us to see if there’s any errors really prominent ones and those coins could be put to the dude for scope inspections. I’m still testing it out for my needs which involve coins, gemstones, geology, and plants. It’s doing very well better than expected!!

This app is a scam that only exists to steal your credit card information. The app starts out with some broken English before giving new users a little sales pitch with several “uses.” One of these is a picture of some grain, some cooked chopped root vegetables and a sliced in-half hard boiled egg, with a text prompt asking “how many calories are in this dish” to which the app responds “1/2 cup of quinoa 220 calories. 1/2 avocado 110 calories.” The problem is NONE OF THAT WAS IN THE PICTURE!!!! every one of the prompts is like that, one is a picture of some sign with the text asking “when can i park here?” To which the app tells the person 100% wrong information it made up not even related to what the signs said. If they had followed it’s directions to the letter they’d have gotten towed. As if this wasn’t a good enough indicator of the quality they intend to provide the only way to even use the free trial is to give the app your credit card info locking users into a perpetual $13/month billing cycle. These people should be in jail for “criminal negligence.”

I am not a writing apps review type of person. But this app has totally changed the game. I literally use it every time. When I come up with any ideas or any questions bumps in my head, I ask the app for its advice and the answers exceeded my expectations. I think now is the time of AI chat with photo.
