I bought this to add to my Ipod. It only runs on IPAD not IPOD. I bought an Ipad and it does work and they did a nice job putting this together. It actually works well if you want ONLY 10% flaps and short field data. I asked if there was an app with 0% flaps for normal take off and the answer is NO but for $495 they will modify this one. If you want one for just teaching short field they you might use this one. Otherwise a student will never learn a normal 172M take off with 0% flaps and be able to use the charts to compare with the app results.
Whether you are a CFI, student or already a pilot you need this app. This saves my students so much time as I have them run performance for every takeoff and landing we do. The other reviews make no sense for this app. Of course you have to put in your airplanes actual empty weight!
You have to calibrate it or check it against your planes specific weight and balance, which is expected, but otherwise a great app.
