Bubble Island 2 - Shooter Game

This is a charming game with fantastic art, but the in-app purchases are borderline fraud. When you get timers as bonuses, they are based on calendar clock time, not actual game time. You might pay or win 24 hours of infinite lives only to play a few matches, come back the next day, and the bonus is gone. This game is rife with other errors. Coins may or may not count up properly as you earn them, and the audio doesn’t work for me on multiple devices. That said, I will continue to play this game for free. As a free game, it is more or less fine. You can earn hats that otherwise cost coins if you are patient and progress through the game. The characters are adorable. You have a max number of 5 lives and a life takes 15 minutes to replenish or a 30 second ad. Annoying but tolerable given the amount of work put into this app. Just don’t be a fool and give this app any in-app purchases. They aren’t going to accomplish what you want, unless what you want is to lose money because you have no concept of monetary policy.

I enjoy this game, it’s one of the best bubble games. If I play for a few minutes. The challenges - the ones where you don’t lose your progress if you lose a round - used to be my favorite. But the past few, I get to the last level and can’t win it. Worse, I’m sabotaged by not getting the right color bubbles. The last one I needed one shot to win, after using all my power-ups - but when I paid for more bubbles, I got all wrong colors. Lame! They should want us to win free lives, so we’ll play more - not make it impossible to win. Also when I get daily rewards, much of the time is taken up with getting through screens before I can actually play. And last time I got 15 minutes infinite lives, I didn’t claim it immediately because I had to change laundry, but it started the countdown anyway; when I came back and hit “claim,” it said I’d already claimed it - and over half the time was gone. I do like replaying the games at higher levels. It allows more enjoyment for each island. However, some of the higher levels are too hard; they require nearly impossible moves to win! And, too often I get near the end, and am only given bubbles that don’t match the ones I need to pop. With some tweaks, it could be much better. But I’m tired of the issues. I don’t like games that aren’t fair.

Ok.. I very rarely write reviews; nine times out of 10, most games on phones annoy the crap out of me. At least, eventually! ;-) However, this game is really unique, ridiculously fun, and more than satisfying when you beat a level! I love how you can go back to previous boards, which are now changed in various ways to make them more challenging than the first time you played them. I should also say I never spend any money to play games – however, this one has had me a little affected! 😂 where I was seriously sad to run completely out of lives! Honestly, my only beef would be that looking over the PRICES of coins and such, and special effects to beat really hard levels — the prices for such things within this game are exorbitant. I IMMEDIATELY abstained from purchasing any! All in all though, great game! Cannot believe this is not more well known!
