Brio: Daily Planner, Todo List

Brio is a beautifully developed productivity app that smartly combines a simplistic design with a robust notification system, a rarity when it comes to planning and task-managing apps. The app’s three main screens and core functionality: Tasks, Thoughts and ideas, and Routines (works like a template for routine tasks) all have an integrated calendar and are supported by a strong and flexible reminder system. One thing I would ask the developers is to make today’s badge alerts be overdue alerts, too. In other words, I would like to see a badge alert for today’s tasks to stay put if they go overdue and until I complete them. Kudos to the developers for creating a beautiful and highly effective productivity app in Brio. I highly recommend it.

Ok I’m retired. Plennnnty of time to do whatever I want, right? But here’s the thing. After awhile you have a blank slate for the day but you don’t use it like you should! This app has changed the game. I put in the stuff I WANT to do (and when if required) and can see it as a timeline. Then I can check off items as they get done and easily see what’s left. It doesn’t promote a false sense of “ I’ve got all day to do X, Y and Z” like some planning apps. It just shows you in a clean and organized manner what you’ve got going on in your life. And sometimes that’s more when you’re retired than when you were working!
