This has been my go to game for years. It had a ton of ads but I over looked that because I enjoyed the game so much. I played it almost everyday for years. It was tricky, entertaining, fun, and made you think. I just recently updated the app and it is safe to say i am completely unhappy with it. The level lengths, difficulty, and new look and feel for the game are all wrong. This game used to be challenging and I would sometimes spend days on the same level. Now, I don’t even have to think twice about if I’m going to get it on the first try. After three turns I am already at the end of the level??? Where is the fun in that? No one wants to play a game of this kind just for it to be a shoo-in for winning. We want a challenge. The look and feel for the game is completely off aswell. The classic and basic look is x10 better than whatever the look is now. The balls move too fast. EVERYTHING moves too fast. It’s just not good. I would hate to turn from this game but I really don’t feel like I have a choice. It turned into a comfort thing for me. I would play it when I was stressed and now that’s gone. No one wants to play a game that’s so easy that it’s kind of irritating. Everyone would prefer if the original version of the game came back. It is not challenging anymore. It is not calming. It is nothing how it used to be. It is just not fun anymore. Please take this review into consideration, and bring back the original version of the game. It is SO much better than this new update in every aspect. Thank you for your time!
This is a very enjoyable game. I did pay to go ad free early on so I can’t speak to the experience of playing with ads. I strongly suggest going ad free it’s very cheap (can’t remember how much - it was a while ago) and once you do, no more ads. It is well worth it. You finish a level it’s onto the next with no waiting or watching ads. But the game is fun to play, addictive, can be frustrating in a good way, when you just can’t get through a level but, oh the feeling of accomplishment when you do. The levels are challenging and often you have to really figure out how to aim your shots to get there. Bonuses are available if needed, and you can buy them if that’s the kind of thing you do - I don’t. This is a go to game for me. Always there to jump into and take a shot at a level if you have some free time. The only problem I have with it is the design. Specifically, the layout of the bonus buttons. The Hammer and Ball Split bonus buttons sit on the lower left and right just under the board. Often when playing, you want to pull the trigger all the way down to release your shot as laterally as you can. When you do, it is VERY easy to accidentally hit one of these bonus buttons. And (not if but) when you accidentally hit one of them, that’s it you’ve engaged the bonus. And most times that means you’ve spent 100 diamonds without wanting to. VERY frustrating. This game desperately needs a pop up asking if you really want to use the bonus, as happens in most games. I’ve intentionally used the Hammer bonus maybe 4 times. I’ve unintentionally used it, and wasted diamonds, about 30 times. It’s maddening!! Please fix this!!! Otherwise this would be a five star game. Overall, a great game, strongly recommend it, with one major design issue.
Ignore the star rating. This game is decent, don’t get me wrong. I would give it a 3 star rating. The amount of ads in this game compared to the quality of it is poor. There’s two ads in between every level, and when you’re finishing levels quickly, you’re watching more ads than you’re playing games. And I understand this is how people are being paid to create this, is through ads. But, the game just isn’t good enough to understandably have THIS many ads. It’s decent, but the graphics and things just aren’t top notch. There has to be other means of income for these creators whether that’s a membership or better deals to purchase power-ups. Or, better the app. Make it worth while, or worth purchasing an ad free version. Right now, the app isn’t good enough for me to want to purchase anything, when I can simply download a better version of this popular game, and play with less ads and better quality.
