BrainGain - IQ Brain Training

Update Oct 2027: They have sent me email saying someone would get back to me but no one ever did. It is now the end of October and I've been in touch with them since the beginning of the month. They have just been taking out more and more money from my bank account so I have to now close my bank account and notify the bank. Of their fraudulent activities. It is important you don't give them access your PayPal account or anything as they will get into your bank. They are thieves I never have even used their stupid app except to use their internal contact method. I thought I was taking an IQ test trial. It was a small price for the result which I never got so I signed up for the shortest period of game play thinking it would be shown to me there, but it was not. It's a bunch of simple games that you can easily play anywhere. There's nothing very challenging except, maybe, to figure out sometimes exactly what they want you to do. Also paid with Apple, but it doesn't show up in my subscriptions so I can't cancel it I can see as I have no receipt for it. Perhaps it will show up later? I don't recommend this. There are other things I'd rather be doing for sure

I downloaded Brain Gain outta curiosity and honestly didn’t expect much, but a few days in and I was actually hyped to open it up every morning. The mix of challenges is awesome..there’s a good mix, so it never really gets boring. but my fave are mental tests. They’re fun but also kinda deep, like they got me thinkin bout how I tick mentally which was unexpected but cool. Love how the app adjusts to how I play, started off chill but then it got real challenging in the best way. Seeing progress is nice too... but I wish it broke things down more like give me the nerdy stats, lemme see exactly what’s getting better One thing that really keeps me coming back is that daily streak😂 it totally works on me,, like I’m not breaking that chain now. that little push is super motivating. Also ngl I need more content pls? I already ran through a bunch of the games. Keep it fresh! Maybe even some social features?? Anyway, still better than doomscrolling, really feels like I’m doing my brain a favor 👏

I downloaded Brain Gain on a whim because, honestly, I'm a sucker for any kind of psychological test. Who doesn't want to know if they're more of a positive thinker, or a night owl, or if they have a tendency for food addiction (guilty)? The app has a ton of these tests, like one about social anxiety where you rate your reactions to different situations, and another that tells you your temperament type. I'll admit, I was curious about the ADHD test, and it gave me some insights (that I was already kinda expecting). It felt like a nice way to learn more about my mind and how I deal with everyday stuff. I've even remembered a few topics l'll probably need to bring up in my next therapy session. The puzzles are fun too, and they don't make you feel like you're being forced into some productivity trap. I loved the daily workouts and there was this one memory game where I had to remember the path of a vampire avoiding sunlight (this is the skin of a killer, Bella) If you're into tests, games, and self-discovery, I think you'll love this app!
