I have been in this business for about 15 years now. There are a plethora of Booking platforms that I work with, and there are pros and cons to each of them. Boatsetter to me remains superior to all the rest.. The ease of use of the platform on both the renter side and the owner side is very streamlined. Customer Service when needed answers at relatively reasonable hours and it’s pretty easy to get someone on the phone. If there are ever claims or damages, both that are is very quick to respond and distribute payments accordingly. Owner payouts and crew payouts are within a couple business days after the Charter which I love. The most importantly, this platform probably gets me the most bookings out of any of the other platforms.. I am team Boatsetter all the way.
I’m so happy about the way this company handle and protect the owners. I wish you could expand to the short term rental field. I’m sure you’ll get a bunch of hosts that are so tired in the negligent and partial way platform as AIRB.B handle things. I wish I could give you 10 stars and I wish I could have my short term rental listings with you one day! So grateful with this company for the opportunity to rent my boat through this app.
I recently had an unfortunate experience with Boatsetter, leading to an unjust deactivation of my listing. Despite my consistent efforts to maintain timely and effective communication with potential renters, I was cited for several incidents of alleged unresponsiveness last year. I believe this to be a misunderstanding, as I have always prioritized clear and prompt communication. After this experience and considering my needs for flexibility in communication and more reasonable service charges, I decided to move my listings to another leading boat renting app. This platform offers a better fit for my requirements, allowing for easier interaction with potential customers and at a cheaper rate. It’s disappointing to have to leave a review like this, as my initial interactions with Boatsetter were positive. However, I felt it necessary to share my experience to provide feedback on the areas where the platform could improve, particularly in terms of flexibility and understanding towards its users.
