I like this app for the convenience of controlling whatever it's for, but wish the schedule was more responsive, for lack of a better way to describe it. It's easy to use, but every time, and I do mean every time I set the schedule, I have to do it twice b/c it doesn't set the first time. I typically turn the device on then set a time for it to shut off. I set the day, then the time, hit save. The screen jumps to the main schedule & it's still set on the previous setting. I have to make selection again. It usually takes the second time, after I hit the day, time & save several times. Occasionally it requires a third time to set. I use it daily, sometimes several times a day, & it's very frustrating that it takes several attempts to schedule off times. It would be a minor annoyance if it happened occasionally, but every time is more than annoying.
This app appears to be a version of the TUYA app which also appears as the Smart Life App. All three apps control a wide range of smart devices and there in lies the problem. I have just added a bathroom towel warmer to my list of devices only to find it has a program bug which prevents you from controlling the towel rail temperature hotter than 104F. The towel rail has a maximum temperature of 140F. It looks like a simple programming bug where the 4 and 0 are transposed. It is the same in the TUYA and Smart Life apps. I guess I will have wait for a fix to materialise so only 1 star for control of my towel warmer. My other devices work fine so in that respect I would score the app as 4 stars because the user experience is one of difficulty setting up timed schedules especially if you want to use the Sunset and Sunrise functions. Update - 3 months after reporting the bug, the fault has not been acknowledged nor fixed making the app useless for controlling a towel warmer. One year on and the bug is still there. The app has been updated a couple of times in the meantime but the fault remains. SUPPORT IS NON-EXISTENT.
I was a little confused at first because I wasn’t sure which product to select when the screen came up asking me to do so. None of the images looked like my product so I just guessed. Once I got it working it’s pretty cool. So far so good for day 1. If I could have one wish it would be to have a widget that goes with this. Other than that, it seems like a great product.
