I used the app and made a simple 2 - burrito, 1 - order of fries online order this morning. Drove to the restaurant, got in line at drive thru and patiently waited about 5 mins for the 2 vehicles ahead of me to be served. I was greeted at the drive thru speaker. I told the lady I was there to pick up my mobile order. Have her my name. She said to pull forward. Got up to the window and was handed a very light-weight bag. I looked at the receipt and saw it was for the wrong person. I waved at the workers till someone came up. Told them I was given the wrong order. She took it back. Went to their holding area and found my order. Brought the bag to the window and showed me the name. I said yes that’s the correct name. Took the sealed bag and left. I get to work so that my coworker and I can have breakfast and discover there are only burritos and no fries. The receipt clearly shows my full order. It’s a simple process to complete. They were not crowded and bogged down with orders. In fact, a few of them were visiting at their prep counters and enjoying the downtime.
We’ve been going to Blake’s for a couple decades now for breakfast burritos and regardless which Blake’s you go to they are typically always great. However, service tends to be hit and miss. I’ve started using the app to order ahead in hopes of not having to wait and found that to be hit and miss as well. In some cases my order is ready but it seems lately I might have well just ordered when I got there. When going through the drive thru you tell them you have an online order, your told to pull up to the window and then find out your order isn’t ready so your told to circle around and get in line with everyone else. This stacks you into the queue and if by chance they bring your order out before everyone else in line, your stuck in line until the queue clears in front of you. Not to mention they’ve failed to bring out my complete order. They really should have the online orders use the designated parking spots on the other side of the building instead of stacking into the queue.
I’ve eaten LOTABURGER since I was a kid. 50+ years. It’s a ritual at my house to get my family breakfast burritos every weekend. But the order is NEVER correct. When you order a basic burrito. ie: bacon with green sauce, those are always right. But I order other types that are never right. For instance. Today I ordered a charizzo burrito with red and green sauce, add bacon and chopped green chili. I got a chorizo burrito with chopped green chili. NO SAUCE AND NO BACON! Last weekend I ordered a carne Ada Ada burrito with Extra Red sauce and bacon. Got one with NO EXTRA RED SAUCE AND NO BACON! That is very normal when trying to get a burrito in Aztec. Gonna have to open them up when I get there to check them I guess. Come on, it’s not that difficult. It’s a burrito for crying out loud!!
