Bills Monitor Pro for iPad

This was pretty good until the major version upgrade. Now the user interface is so un-intuitive and lacks common sense. Pop up menus that get in the way and don’t drop down after selecting entries, default screens or operation that you can’t change (list view for bills vs default calendar view). I use a blue tooth keyboard on an iPad mini and one of the updates a while back changed how you enter the dollar amount. A pop-up comes up now and it won’t accept keyboard entries (allows it for PW entry), I must touch the screen to enter. Bill reminders used to show up only in the desktop icon (small red circle with number of bills due) only after the period of a reminder you set. Now they show up for how ever many upcoming bills you have regardless of the due date. IMHO they tried to make the app look more modern and ruined it. It’s too busy, too many colors, etc. I’ll take function over eye candy any day!

As a baby boomer, I’m embarrassed to say it took a while for me to get used to relying on something other than my ledger to keep track of my bills. I tried a few other apps before I found Bills Monitor Pro and am very pleased that I gave it a try. I’ve been using it for over a year and can’t say enough good things about it. Easy to use. The format is intuitive. Reminders have never failed me. Don’t usually write reviews for apps, but felt strongly that I should for this one. Thanks! I really appreciate your product.

I love, love, love that I can scan a picture of the front page of my bill and keep a copy with my payment transaction (so I can track the full balance if it's something long term like a loan). I also love that unlike my previous bill tracking app, it doesn't change the date my bill shows up on the calendar (due date) simply because I paid it on a different date (I always thought that was silly, and now I see this app agrees). I only wish it wouldn't force me to put an end date on certain recurring bills (like electric, water, gas, etc.) I'm gonna have to have those until I die or until the utility companies run out so why am I forced to specify an end date? I'd also like to see my notes I put on a bill without always having to go into edit mode to see it (so I don't accidentally make a change that I didn't mean to make). Other than those things, this app is the best I've found out there.
