This stop watch app is the perfect balance of elegance and function presented in a perfectly minimalist fashion. The large dials makes it handy for when multiple people need to see the stop watch at the same time. I use this app when I am watching soccer games in the stadium to track extra time at the end of each half, and it’s handy for allowing nearby folks to glimpse at it as well without me needing to show it to them directly. I would imagine it would work well in some competitive settings as well, such as certain games with friends.

This has been my favorite stopwatch app for many years. It has a clean and simple design that hasn’t changed, unlike so many other apps that seem to “refresh” their design every so often for no apparent reason other than just to change. It just does what you need to do, simple as that. Also, this app is over 10 years old and the developer continues to keep it available on current phones - I really appreciate that.

This is a simple yet beautiful stop watch app that does one thing but excellently. The attention to detail in terms of animation (even while changing orientation) made this app the first one that made me say "wow" when I first got my iPhone 4. Four phones later and this is still one of my must-have apps.
