BHIM Bharat's Own Payments App

I'm really dissatisfied with this app. First, it doesn't show the keyboard to type the OTP which means we have to rely on the app itself to enter OTP for us. Second, when I tried to deactivate my account permanently, it didn't read the OTP for 'some reasons' and I'm stuck with this app. Also the AI of this app is too unhelpful, but that doesn't matter much. Now I am even unable to delete my bank account details. HELP!

The app is so fabulous. I love this app! I’ve been using a few things after changing phones and reinstalling this app. Not to mention being unable to use the app when it’s syncing because it’d really stop responding until it’s done. After activating it, you get bombarded by ads again. This is a good app way too much many times, and even if a user logs in from another device, the data is synced. Thanks!

I believe a recalibration is in order for the new Android 16 update. Was working fine, but as soon as the OS update was complete, it was not working at all So, did a factory reset on my phone. However, this time, the app won't keep open. It's crashing at the login screen when entering the phone number, and directing towards the help URL. Even if I do not enter anything to see if the OTP request is triggering such issues, it seems the crashing is happening even when in idle mode.

On setup it asks to set up a PIN. It works for the first time after you install the app. But if you reopen the app it says PIN incorrect. What gives? Uninstalled the app, went through the registration process again, same thing. Not off to a good start. Update: Got through the initial issue by resetting the PIN and enabling face id. Note it no longer asks for a PIN on opening the app. But now it complains about setting up UPI PIN for back account. It kept going and error even though all the details entered were correct and now it just gives an error exceeded attempts. Tried after a day and still gives save error. I am going to give it one last try tomorrow and then uninstall the app if it still did not work.

This application is good, presumably that this is a government application :-). However this could be better. Workflow of application is hard it ask for login multiple times and not user friendly. It could use touchscreen password but it doesn’t use. Anyway given that government of India developed this application this is fine because we can expect more from government applications. I can not give 5 stars as for getting 5 stars this application has to be a lot more better, so I am giving it 4 stars.

Excellent for bank transfers. Sending and receiving money couldn't be made easier! Also, we are grateful that this app is available to download in the U.S. app store as well as the India app store. A feature that would make the app better would be the ability to transfer money between two bank accounts associated with the same UPI address (i.e. registered mobile number). Other improvements could include Apple Watch support and TouchID support. ******************************************** UPDATE: Still no support for Touch/Face ID. Bugs haven’t been ironed out completely. Apple Watch app would also be good.
