This has been my favorite Bahai prayer app for the last few years. It’s beautifully designed, simple to use yet feature packed, and a joy to use. While I don’t have any explicit complaints, a few additional features could make this app even more powerful. I’d love to see an optional iCloud sync option so that I can backup and restore my bookmarks and prayer lists across devices or if I ever change my phone. The ‘Calendar’ function is great, but the app shouldn’t need full calendar access to add events; it’d be better if the app only requested ‘Add Events Only’ to ease privacy concerns. And lastly, I don’t task the app creator with this, but it would be very nice to have all of the ‘additional prayers’ categorized so that they can be better integrated into the main categories.
This prayer book comes with a compass, so you always know what direction to face for your obligatory prayer if you’re out of the house for the day or traveling. It also has the Hidden Words in a pleasant format which you can memorize when you’re traveling to pass the time. And when new prayers are translated, the makers of the app make an update to add them, which is really exciting. It’s a really easy app to recommend to friends and new Bahá’ís who want to see Bahá’í prayers or the direction to face for the obligatory prayers. The makers truly put a lot of prayerful thought into creating the experience of this app.
Intone, O My servant, the verses of God that have been received by thee, as intoned by them who have drawn nigh unto Him, that the sweetness of thy melody may kindle thine own soul, and attract the hearts of all men. Whoso reciteth, in the privacy of his chamber, the verses revealed by God, the scattering angels of the Almighty shall scatter abroad the fragrance of the words uttered by his mouth, and shall cause the heart of every righteous man to throb. Though he may, at first, remain unaware of its effect, yet the virtue of the grace vouchsafed unto him must needs sooner or later exercise its influence upon his soul. Thus have the mysteries of the Revelation of God been decreed by virtue of the Will of Him Who is the Source of power and wisdom. Bahá’u’lláh
