I think this app is a brilliant idea I am a developer and I know that due to software limitations, push notifications cannot work using instagram webviews like they do in this app when you open the widget Which really kills my idea of using it only as DMs to text my friends, their message notifications cannot show up Maybe if they implement a matrix server like Beeper it would work But why not using Beeper in the first place? Beeper doesn’t work very well though regarding notifications 2nd thing I want to mention is security Basically as you log into instagram using a webview, the developer of this application can update it to send your cookie credentials to his own servers in any time specially if he is using an OTA update which is not controlled by apple reviewers This application is a brilliant idea but the execution is not good It’s not the author /developers fault, but the software limitations, laws and closed Apple ecosystem… I also found some bugs using the app like I couldn’t go back to the webview and the ⚙️ button didn’t work sometimes
