Babysense Smart Nursery

A friend got me the nightlight/whitenoise maker and it’s been a staple for us first time parents. My son cannot sleep without the thunderstorm sounds and the light that we can make brighter or darker is great for those 4am feedings. I wish there were more sound options but otherwise it’s great

We bought the BabySense see+ monitor thinking “wow, we live in the future, look at all this incredible technology that can help us out as new parents. We can watch her sleep while we work, on the metro, wherever.” But the app barely functions half the time. It goes fuzzy grey when we put her down for a nap, it takes ages to load (and usually doesn’t end up producing an image! Just an endless cycle of “please wait. Establishing an encrypted channel,”) and the device goes off-line at least once a week. Not to mention the headache of telling our sitter “if you need to quit the app to try and get it to restart, please do so,” so many times that she ends up sitting in the baby’s room while our baby naps. To say that we are disappointed is a true understatement. This product is insanely expensive compared to the other options on the market. It also kills your phone battery (and the lifetime of your phone) so if you’re concerned about that, look for another product. I don’t recommend buying it at all!!!

We bought two dreamers because our second Hatch product bit the dust and these were half the price. I’m surprised these devices seem to be twice as good. Highly programmable, more sounds, more colors, clock, temperature reading, more responsive. Two recommendations for future updates. Make it possible to lock the device into the schedule. Make it easier to sync schedules between devices so my two sons rooms follow the same schedule without having to program each independently.
