Aviation Weather – METAR TAF

Edit: They fixed the app! Thank you for actually listening! I purchased this app a few years ago. Since the update I have lost my purchase. I have tried multiple times to restore the purchase but it won’t work. Avoid this app until it’s fixed or it’s just a money grab.

Currently this is the best Weather App I have been able to find. The old Takeoff App I liked better but has been discontinued. I like how it seems to accurately present Notams. And How it presents the weather in an easy snapshot type view. What could be better. I agree with other reviewers that it should update automatically every 15 to 30 minutes with the option to update with a swipe down for most current weather. It is hard to tell if weather is old because app hasn’t updated or because weather data hasn’t been updated, so I end up updating the app to get the same weather already being reported. Even just an indication of how long it has been since the app has updated would help. Decoded Area Forecasts are hard to read because it is difficult to tell if times are Local time or Zulu times. Would be much easier to read if Local times were shown. Brian CFI

Just getting started with this app and I like the information provided - plenty for my VFR lifestyle ! The one issue I have is using this app on my plane dash mount / home IPad ——— it won’t work in a portrait position on an IPad, only in landscape mode.. it ( the app) would be perfect if I could use it in landscape as the pad is mounted — it DOES - work on an iPhone in landscape .... aaauuuggghhh ! LoL
