The app's promotion sounds impressive, but the actual experience falls short. It claims to support multi-device synchronization, yet my iPhone and iPad often fail to sync properly, forcing me to import accounts manually each time. The Google Authenticator import feature is also unreliable—I had to try several times before it finally worked. While the interface looks native to Apple’s system, the overall operation feels sluggish and not as smooth as expected. The offline usage is a nice idea, but I’ve had multiple instances where the verification codes didn’t update correctly, which defeats the purpose of reliable two-factor authentication. For the price, I expected a much more polished and dependable app. Unfortunately, the features don’t live up to the promises in the promotion, and the user experience needs significant improvement.
I am still a bit concerned about the sync-ing and security aspect of my 2FA codes even though I really did not have any issues and have been using it for a while now. In today’s time you have to be vigilant what software you use and who made it due to security and things being in the cloud. Not a dig specifically to 2Stable but in general. I just want to emphasize here that you DO NOT have to use the sync-ing feature but it really is so well done and convenient that I’ve given my trust as I can’t live without it now. With this being said though, this is by far the best designed 2FA application I’ve ever used. It’s just seamless whether I use it on my iPhone or my Mac. I was surprised so many times even after using it for a couple of years now how smart the app is to fill out 2FA codes. Extremely well designed and works amazingly well. The only thing I’m saddened by is that it’s not available on Windows as well. I work on both PC and Mac workstations and I would pay in a second for a Windows version as well. Great job overall to 2Stable team. Keep at it, you have a winner here.
Have used several different 2FA/MFA apps and also browser extensions in the past. This app has been the best for me personally. The only things I hope that will be changed in newer updates is the ability to have all the accounts listed in the widget on macOS. At the moment, I can only see 3 accounts, but that doesn't change my rating as the app does exactly as it was designed to do and function and I'm sure more features will be added. I want to thank the developer especially as this has helped me in so many ways.
