Audeze HQ

The app works alright, it randomly turns on the volume limit and I have to turn it back off, same with the side tone setting. Other than those two things the app appears to function well although the eq preset loading times can be a bit slower than expected for modern systems. Battery meter is nice for the Maxwell, as well as the other available setting available. Sound suppression settings appear to be missing from the app and would be an appreciated addition, though not necessary as the headphones have a physical button and audio notification that function without the app.

The one thing I occasionally need this app for is to adjust settings for the custom EQ presets on my new Audeze Maxwell. However, whenever I switch to the EQ view, it briefly shows the controls and then displays a spinner that never goes away. As a software developer that works on world class desktop and mobile apps for professional use, I’d be embarrassed to release something like this and not maintain it properly. It’s not even a complex app. This is some first year CS student level garbage. Start by firing the engineering and product managers. Hopefully Sony will clean house because this is amateur hour.

App is slow and hangs a lot but it gets the job done if you need to set the EQ or check settings. Their names are confusing since they have 3 different apps in the app store. They should really rename them to Audeze Speakerphone, Audeze Headphones and Audeze Cipher or something to make it clear which app works for each device. This one works for Maxwell though. Better yet, wish it was all just 1 app. Also the support link takes you to their zendesk support agent login screen instead of the user facing help center 😂
