Possible improves

This is a great app to reference for PRT clarity. Today’s generation of Soldiers are more technically advanced. Their phones are always with them. Having the PRT plan at their finger tips, digitally vs paper/photo copy, adds an additional layer of communication amongst the Soldiers. Develop a tab in the app where a Soldier/MFT/leader can personalize the unit’s PRT plan and share it with unit members, or a Soldier can develop their own individual PRT tracker. This section could be more intuitive by also implementing an AAR section post workout. This may invite direct candid feedback from the Soldier to the unit MFT and/or app proponent. This will also allow Soldiers, units, and TRADOC, to see what works and what doesn’t work on a larger scale.

Great start, but just a start.

(Full disclosure: I’ve been out of the Army for several years. I just like to stay fit and really like the ACFT. I wanted to see what the Army’s put out in app land.) I’m one of those people that likes to have a plan and if I don’t, I get unmotivated. Bearing that in mind, why not put the sample PRT schedule (or something derivative) into a “workout tracker” type format? Or add a CFT score tracker so the Soldier can see how they’ve progressed over time? You could even keep what you’ve got so far, and when they open the app, you could have options like “Today’s PT”, “Reference material”, and “ACFT Score tracker” and allow the soldier to easily go back and forth with a sidebar or something; say if they’re unsure about the execution of a movement during the session, they can switch over to the reference material right quick. Just a thought. Solid start!

Released too soon

There are too many problems to mention. A rating of 3.2 says enough. There isn’t a place to “individualize” your workout, no place to input exercise completed (or not), reps performed, or a metric to decide what is next. You should reach out to one of the dozens of commercial App platforms and work with them for a complete application that allows for individual input, tracking and an opportunity for Soldiers to meet with their MFT for specific guidance. This could be a great tool, but should be pulled, updated, then reposted.
