Even a reinstall won’t fix it

It’s bad enough that you have to take the bus in Hong Kong. The app is supposed to help riders figure out routes, schedule, and wait time. Instead, so much effort is crammed into bombarding you with advertisements on the tiny screen that you can barely see the screen. Then there is the mandatory ad you have to watch everything the ad launches. Most people are in a hurry to look at bus arrival time and don’t have time to wait for the ad to finish. If I am forced to watch the ad, the bus ride should be free. Another major problem is many cross harbor bus routes are shared with a different bus company which doesn’t share the same GPS tracking system as KMB. It seems not possible to know when the next bus is coming when it’s “outside KMB hours”. It’s just so stupid.

This app was super useful some versions ago. I relied on it heavily because there are several buses I can take from Cross Harbour Tunnel that are separated by stairs on the footbridge. Now I resort to waiting on the footbridge to see which if my buses are coming before I run down the stairs to catch it. For some reason, the GPS doesn’t always match the right bus. For example, Bus stops for 108 and 118 are near each other. The app shows the 108 arriving in 2mins, but the 118 shows up. This has happened several times with multiple buses with similar numbers and stops near each other. I’m guessing the 108 sometimes runs as 118, so the bus arrival time is for the 108. I’ve reported this before with the bus details and time, but received no response. Hope this gets fixed so we can rely on this app again. It was great when it worked.
