Antietam Battlefield Auto Tour

Used this app for a driving tour of Antietam. It worked great! Was easy to navigate as a passenger while my husband drove but would also be pretty easy to use as a sole driver because the audio starts on its own based on GPS location (you do need to make sure to go slow enough so it doesn’t start the next one before you finish the previous one). Alternatively you can look ahead and start audio for the next stop before you pull out of the parking spot at each stop. Was great info and followed the NPS (well-marked) driving tour. Used their app for Boston Freedom Trail walking tour too and loved it!

Antietam is frequently overshadowed by its more popular neighbor, Gettysburg. But the battlefield is just as poignant and much more meaningful because of the lack of crowds. The tour reminds you of the incredible losses suffered on these fields. Recommend at least half a day to see everything. Go up to the observation point when it reopens.

We would have missed a lot without this app. The whole trip was a big success. Good narration, Interesting stories, and we took our own time to go around. Recommend.
