Alfred Camera: Home Security

I’ve been using this application for well over two years, and it’s fantastic! Including each introductory improvements and upgrades. All work seamlessly! This works so well that I have one request !! Please create the same type monitoring application that utilize Bluetooth as the link between (in my case) two iPhones. Just include, active video / audio, recording using onboard memory (sound and/or motion triggered), set-able allowable memory limit the app can use, and battery monitoring plus event recording time limit. For the pleasure of acquiring such additional feature, I am sure users (like me) would not mind paying additional monthly or yearly or one time (extra high cost) fee to have this option. The issue, asking for others network passwords when not at home, traveling and using public WiFi at hotels (even when you are in the next room), utilizing this feature as a many cam while visiting. You guys have done such a fantastic job with this application, who better to ask. Regards.

I have used this app for over two years now. Being a lower income single parent, it has always been a struggle working and doing daily tasks outside the home bc I have five children under seventeen years old. Oldest full time home is 13. Unfortunately times are not like they were thirty fourty years ago when you didn’t have to worry so much. But nowadays you have to be very careful whom you let your children go around and who you let into your home. I found Alfred camera after a google search. It’s only a few bucks which is great! And also. I love how you can use old cell phones to set up as cameras. You don’t get 360• angle view. But you can switch from front to back camera very easily and quickly so if you keep your phone / camera up in a corner of the ceiling, it is easy to get a view of the entire room. And the image is very clear. I don’t think you can go wrong using Alfred camera whatsoever. And I thank you all for such an amazing app that has helped ease my worries by a ton, which makes my days away from home so much less worrisome and that alone is worth more than words can say in this fast review. But Ty again for an awesome easy and affordable app!

This is a great app, it has all the features you’d like to have in a Security camera. There are two glitches though, one that makes the recorder camera to lose connection. When that happens, the camera goes offline, then switches back online, then offline again in a matter of 1 second. It eventually settles itself after a while to either online or offline state, most of the time offline. Even when I’m right next to the recorder camera, there’s nothing I can do to settle it online. Even if I close, then reopen the app, I still get this screen, switching back and forth between on- and off-line. I know the problem is not my WiFi, I have a few devices that work flawlessly. The recorder phone is placed in the same room with the router, it’s plugged in and it’s set to 5G. I also do speed tests on my WiFi and it seems to work just fine. The phone isn’t too old, it’s an SE, it’s active with a phone number, and when it doesn’t play the security role, I use it as a regular phone, the phone itself has no problems. The other glitch is the person detection. The phone is placed by the window with the view toward the driveway and front pathway, and a portion of the street is also visible. When I leave the house, I start getting notification with “person detection” and when I check the videos recorded, there are only cars passing by and the street is not close enough for the camera to detect a person inside a car in motion. This problem doesn’t bother me as much as the first one. I still love the convenience of this app and the fact that it’s free.
