Aira - Legacy

The agents are extremely helpful, and have a great deal of knowledge. Some of the things that they can do for you are to help you filled out PDF forms, read mail, shop online and in stores, travel with you, go to airports with you, walk the streets of your town or city with you, point out obstacles, read menus, help you with college work, help you with things that you need to read for your job, read things on the shelves in us or deli, almost anything you need a sighted person to help you with. They can use team viewer to go on your computer or help you with your smart phone. What a wonderful service! If you have any problems, customer service is excellent.

I have been several using the app for several years and indeed it has made a great difference in my life. I am able to do things that I could not do before with the help of Ira. I was better able to do some of the things when the glasses were around. I understand why they went away; the hardware used to make them run the phones became obsolete in their updatable capability. I am hoping they’re working on new glasses or something else. There have been some ups and downs with the software of the Ira app itself; but it does get fixed at some point in time. If it ever go if the Ira F ever goes away we will all be back in the dark ages. I hope that the quality will continue to be good and that people will continue to use it. The best thing apart the app about the app or the agents. They are truly great people very helpful very very knowledgeable their training is great.b

This is one of the most amazing tools available to blind and low vision people. I use this app almost daily here in Los Angeles where I live. It is so incredibly helpful on so many levels and allows such a greater sense of freedom and autonomy. I use it for all different things ranging from asking the color of an item of clothing to a detailed description of a picture to taking selfies to assistance creating profiles etc. I’ve also used it when I became discombobulated in a shopping mall by myself and I was able to get assistance to successfully locate the escalators. I also use it for beauty related things, nail polish, make up, finding similar dupe items online etc. I am sure that Ira will continue to get even better and better as we move forward. I would love to see Ira be available outside the United States, even if it was just for US citizens so that there could be options to use the app when people do have to live outside the United States because of work related travel, vacation or being married to someone who is stationed internationally and so on.
