Acurast Processor

Acurast is an amazing DePIN project, and I'm thrilled to contribute to it on iOS now! The app doesn't run in the background, but I keep it open overnight on my main device and sometimes run it on spare devices when they're not in use. So far, I'm impressed: the app doesn't overheat my devices (they barely get warm) and doesn't have a significant impact on battery life either. Overall, I'm excited about DePIN and Acurast!

The app was quick and easy to load, connect to the manager and attest. There are only two things I wish were different. They may be related, so one fix may resolve both issues. I am no software engineer, but I think if this app could run in the background it would be a game changer. The other issue is when the app is running for awhile and the screen locks. The issue is when unlocking to use the phone for anything the screen is set to dim, so you have to go to the screen settings and crank it back up to use. Again, app works great, and reports heartbeats as it should, but when using the phone for anything else it pauses. So I think if this COULD run in the background, the screen brightness would be resolved. Otherwise, very pleased.

Accurate is a great DePIN project that I am really excited to be able to contribute to with iOS now! The app doesn’t earn in the background, but I leave it in the foreground overnight on my main device, then have a few spare devices that I run it on when those are not in use. I’ve been impressed that from my observations so far, the app doesn’t earn not cause my devices to get hot (or even all that warm), and it does not severely impact the battery life either. Overall, I’m stoked on DePIN and stoked on Acurast!!!
